How the estimate is produced
The calculator subtracts the round-trip transport allowance, border allowance, baggage allowance, selected airport return buffer, and contingency from the scheduled layover.
The result is a planning model, not a live prediction. It cannot observe queues, traffic, delays, weather, gate changes, or an individual border decision.
Source and update standard
Airport guides prefer official airport, government, airline, rail, metro, bus, and transport-operator pages. Each guide links its operational sources so the traveller can recheck them on the travel date.
Facts that can change are written with their source and a recheck instruction. A provider's promotional claim is not treated as proof that a layover is safe.
Editorial policy
Content is written for the traveller's decision, not to manufacture a positive booking recommendation. Entry permission and airline rules always outrank the calculator.
Pages stay within the site's stopover-planning focus. When a route cannot be supported with credible operational sources, it should not be presented as a precise airport guide.
Revenue does not set the safety result
Layover Window may earn a commission from some booking links. The calculator result is computed from the traveller's inputs before any offer is selected.
